Working through examples of dashboards, and widgets, our sales engineer, Scott Whitesides, demonstrates technical features of the Lumics platform.
Features Demo
Watch this video for an overview of what Lumics can do for you in your environment. There are more features than we show in this video, and we would love for you to try a full free demo in your environment. To get this setup is a quick, easy, and only requires a single collector to get started. Our collectors are lightweight (4 vCPU, 8GB Ram, 40GB disk) and utilize CentOS 7 (64-bit). With a few simple lines of script, you will be able to start adding device
With Lumics you will be able to customize your event notifications to allow you to focus on what is important. You can view your events via the event pane or through the events dashboard. At Lumics we want you to be able to get rid of the noise and focus on critical projects. Once an event has been triggered you will have the ability to associate this to an external action. This action can be customized to send an email, text message, or even slack message to a specific channel. Lumics will allow you to make business decisions, so you aren’t overwhelmed with events or too much noise! Check it out and contact us today for more information!
Dashboards
From the shared dashboard drop down you can quickly select a dashboard that applies to you or the issue you are working on.
Don’t waste your time putting all your devices into a spreadsheet! With Lumics simple use the device dashboard and filter out the devices you do or do not want to see. If a new vulnerability appears in a version of code that is running across your environment Lumics has that covered. Generate the list with a quick search filter and you are done.
Collaborate between teams and create as many dashboards as you need to make everyone aware! The global dashboard gives you a quick and easy overview for all the devices being monitoring within Lumics. Adjust the time range and watch as all your widgets update accordingly and help you solve that problem.
Lumics utilizes the vSphere API to gather statistics as well as alarms. The key differentiator with Lumics is we are capturing the vCenter stats and storing them long term to help you identify issues days, weeks, or months later. Identify which VMs are hogging the network or running high on CPU.
Firewall management has never been easier than with Lumics! If you are looking to see what the running or startup configuration looks like? No problem, we have that along with the ability to compare against earlier versions or even different devices. Standardization across your firewalls is simple with Lumics.
Widgets
Widgets operate as real time reporting which removes a large portion of needing to scheduled reports.
If you are curious what is happening on your network, you are not alone! With the netflow module enabled on your device you can start to get the full picture. Lumics not only collects this data, but we also allow you to search historically to identify who or what was consuming all your bandwidth.
You can quickly and easily gather information about individual devices with Lumics. If a support ticket is created for a specific site, jump directly into the device dashboard, and know what is happening immediately. Lumics doesn’t require you to run a report and wait for the results, the results are already there waiting for you to act.
